Namaste

Namaste Yogis,
I hope this email finds you well & happy wherever you are at this present moment.

Some of you already know that The Monday class is going to be held at an earlier time of 7.30 Pm! I hope this is ok with everybody! 8 pm seemed a little late, especially during the winter months. Also….half term at Market Hall is going to be on 03 & 10 Nov, this gives us 2 more weeks of Yoga. Please remember the revised time of 7.30 pm!

With blessings.

Start of Autumn

Aum,
Thank you for all your emails and updates during the last few months. I’m blessed to have such an amazing family of Yogis and Yoginis.

I am very grateful to dive into another term of nourishing ourselves on all levels in order to remind us of the amazing opportunity of this life, this body, this moment in time. Not only is our physical body our one true partner for life, It’s the vehicle that contains and channels all that we are. And perhaps, most importantly it’s an ever-present and instant opportunity to wake up, to be present and to enjoy and love ourselves and our lives.

Let’s roll…..
Coleshill Village Hall,  Starting next Wednesday 03 Sep, 18.30-19.45. Gentle flow.
St Mary’s Church Hall, starting next Thursday 04 Sep, 09.30-10.45. Hatha
The Monday evening class will resume a little later this term. I’m looking to start on Monday 15 Sep,  20.00-21.15. power Yoga & Kundalini Yoga Kriya.

As always, please refrain from speaking before and after class. I cannot stress  enough that stopping the mind chatter will take your practice to the next level. Make a conscious effort to stay inside your body from the moment you enter the Yoga room, better still, from the moment you leave your home or work to come to Yoga!!

After much deliberation, i have had to make changes to the block booking system as It’s been increasingly hard for me to keep a record of the number of lessons attended by each Yogi! The block booking will only be available to yogis/yoginis who practice every week. Otherwise £10 for a drop in.

Thank you, I’m beyond grateful for you and for the world we share.

Summer

Dear friends,
This term we have been working on staying awake, aware and present to enable us to take our practice to the next level. ‘Who we are speaks so loudly, no one hears a word we say.’ No matter what we do, who we are or how great life is for us – it’s all meaningless and lost on us unless we are present. Put simply – the quality of our lives depends on our ability to stay present.

I understand that process may be challenging in a world filled with insecurities, limitations, disappointments and material desire that clutter our minds,  the flip side is also true. No matter who we are, what our body’s shape, whether we are practicing Yoga or not, eating raw or not – presence is available to all of us. When? 🙂 Now.

So please try and enjoy the ride and appreciate the view. thank you

Most of you know that I have been planning to take some time out to reconnect with myself, although i had in mind a secluded place separate from society where I can make an effort towards liberation –  my time out is going  be helping my elderly mother settle in her new home in Cape Cod Massachusetts. The upside is that my mother’s house is a short distance from a secluded beach where i can take refuge (frequently) – If any of you have experienced yoga on the beach – you’ll know how holistic it is. To gaze out to the sea and breathe in the fresh air with the sound of waves is wholesome.

This brings me to confirming dates:
Last lesson at Coleshill will take place on Wednesday 02 July – Back on Wednesday 03 Sep.
Last lesson at St Mary’s will be on Thursday 03 July – Back on Thursday 04 Sep.
Last lesson at Market hall, Old Amersham will be on Monday 30 June – Return date TBC.

I apologise for the interruption this may cause to your flow. Have a great summer and please keep the flow going, roll out your mats and find space.
As always, i would like to thank you for inspiring me to be a better person in this chaotic world.

Keep Your Goals To Yourself

Aum everyone,
Happy Holy Daze & Happy New Year.

As we get into goal-setting this New Year 2014, I encourage us all to start with the questions: Who do i want to be? Who do i see myself to be? What is important to me? What is worth dedicating myself to?

You know the reason most New Year’s resolutions fail? We think of what we should do, or worse, we set them based on what we think will make us a better person. So our self-discipline holds us up to it for a few days, weeks or maybe (rarely) even months. Eventually, we rubber-band back to where we were before, or further behind even. The remedy?

Our values
Our identity – Who we see ourselves to be.
Anything is possible.

Thank you all for giving me a week to recover from moving home which finally took place last Monday Jan 6th. Normal classes will resume next week….Coleshill, Wednesday Jan 15th, 18.30-19.45 & St Mary’s, Thursday Jan 16th, 09.30-10.45. Unfortunately, there will no longer be lessons at Hyrons Cottage but i am currently looking for a venue to hold a late evening class.
