Hello lovely yogis,
This week we welcome the beautiful Pink Moon – April’s full moon – lighting up the sky with a soft, powerful energy.
Despite its name, the moon won’t actually appear pink, but it’s called the Pink Moon after the wildflowers (like moss phlox) that start to bloom around this time – a symbol of renewal, growth, and fresh starts.
Spiritually, this full moon invites us to reflect on what’s blossoming in our lives. It’s a time to release old patterns, clear space, and align with what we truly want to grow – both on and off the mat.
In our yoga practice, we can honour this lunar energy with calming, grounding poses that help us reconnect with ourselves and the rhythms of nature. Think:
• Moon Salutations (Chandra Namaskar) to tune in and flow gently • Malasana (Yogi Squat) for rooting and releasing • Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold) for introspection • Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Butterfly) to open the heart and receive • And of course, time in Savasana to just be under the moon’s light (even if only in spirit)
Take a moment during this full moon to pause, breathe, and honour the journey you’re on. Let go of what no longer serves, and make space for what wants to bloom.
Sending you all full moon magic and love,
Sima
